VIE - Project Buyer in Bietigheim-Bissingen bei Valeo

The site of Bietigheim-Bissingen in Germany is focused on comfort and driving assistance systems . Our department is looking for a VIE Project Buyer for 12 months, within the project purchasing team.

Your challenges?

• You will lead the sourcing process fro m material cost target prepar ation till completion of automotive qualification steps and project closure
• You will participate in project meetings, activities and support project award
• You will involve Segment Leader in appropriate timing to share project constraints and propose sourcing strategy compliant with Group Segment Strategy
• You will select supplier bid-list based on Compliant Segment Panel and liaise with Project and Segment organizations to identify Bundle opportunities
• You will assess pre-selected suppliers' risk impacts on the project
• You will install competition between suppliers bringing at least two suppliers at the same technical level and proceed with all negotiations
• You will leverage commodity organization to reach pre-sourcing, sourcing decisions and meet project targets
• You will define and control communication flows and contents between project teams and suppliers

• You are graduated from a master degree in business administration, industrial engineering or equivalent
• You ideally have experience in automotive purchasing
• Knowledge of automotive cost calculation is a plus
• You have a fluent level of English
• Knowledge of German is a plus
• You have good communication skills, have an international mindset and are open-minded to new cultures and new ways of working and thinking
• You are humble, listening, positive attitude oriented, professional, and have the sense of diplomacy
