The AIXperiment is the experimental laboratory of the Faculty of Economics at RWTH Aachen University. Connected to the Junior Professorship of Experimental Economic Research, the laboratory is available for use by the entire faculty. Our premises in Lochnerstraße offer space for 30 test subjects in a classic computer laboratory. In addition, we have equipment for conducting virtual reality-based experiments, biofeedback devices and a server for conducting online experiments.
- Technical studies or relevant experience in the corresponding field of work
- Ability to work independently and solve problems
- Experience with network technology and setting up and maintaining (Windows) computers
- Basic knowledge of python, php and javascript desirable
- Regular availability on site in Aachen
- Interest in experimental research
- Support in the maintenance of the subject management tool (ORSEE)
- Support in the maintenance of the computer pool (Windows updates, etc.)
- Programming tasks also possible with appropriate aptitude and interest
- Support in the realization of (online) experiments
- Assistance with planning and realization of advertising measures
The successful candidate will be employed as a student assistant.
The position is to be filled at the earliest possible date and offered for a fixed term of 3 months.
Continued employment is planned.
This is a part-time contract position.
The standard weekly hours will be 10 hours.
The salary is based on the RWTH Guidelines for Student and Graduate Assistants.
The position corresponds to a pay grade of 12,00 € per hour until 31.12.2023 and 13,00 € per hour from 01.01.2024.
