- In your new role you act as a Global Medical Advisor, Team Rheumatology/Gastroenterology, Therapeutic Area Inflammation.
- You are medically responsible for the disease and asset-related Medical Affairs strategy, its implementation in Global Plans and guidance on executional excellence to regional/local counterparts in Medicine.
- In this context you collaborate with cross-functional teams, e.g., Marketing, Market Access, Patient Advocacy Groups, Pharmacovigilance, and Regulatory Affairs, providing medical input.
- Furthermore, you contribute to the development & support the implementation of the Global Medical Affairs Strategy, Global Publications Plan, Core Medical Communication Points and Product Maintenance and Optimization (PMO).
- You review and approve national Phase IV studies and ensure consistency with global strategy.
- In addition, you provide expertise and strategic input to allow for efficient, scientifically, and medically adequate communication in preparation for launch until the end of the product's lifecycle.
- You also provide medical and scientific expertise to projects and support related activities such as educational programs, satellite symposia and communication campaigns.
- Besides, you establish and provide product-specific guidance and training to regions/countries.
- You maintain an external focus to ensure a good understanding of the relevant stakeholder groups for your designated asset(s) e.g., Health Authorities, External Experts, Associations, Patient groups, Payers, etc.
- You understand the competitive landscape well and you provide medical input with respect to competitor landscape and scenario planning.
- MD, PhD or similar degree in human health related areas (Medicine, Pharmacy, etc.)
- Proved experience in medical affairs, preferably in a global role and preferably on Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, specialty care and/or rare diseases
- Experience on data generation and dissemination (i.e., scientific publications)
- Experience working in matrix teams in a country or globally
- Excellent communication skills as well as presentation, training and facilitation skills
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to work in virtual teams
- Full command of English Language
- Strong external focus to the international scientific community, top level medical experts and all relevant stakeholders
- Excellent team player with an analytic, proactive and goal-oriented attitude
- Willingness to travel (up to 30%)
