Verification Engineer for Electrical Machines in Lahr bei Schneider Electric

For our location in Germany (Lahr) we are looking for a Verification Engineer for Electrical Machines to extend our team in R&D Motion, where we develop and produce products such as Servo Motors and Power Drives for automation solutions. In this position you will be responsible for the verification of our portfolio in the field of servo motors in international projects.

Your field of work – diverse

• You are responsible for the verification and testing of electrical machines during product development in the verification phase according to requirements of the standards DIN EN 61800-5-1 (Electrical Power Drives with adjustable speed) and DIN EN 60034-1 (Rotating Electrical Machines).
• In addition, you will manage and challenge verification requirements and ensure that all functions are covered by an appropriate defined test.
• The coordination of functional tests with other departments and internal and external verification resources will be important tasks of your scope.
• The further development of our existing test environment regarding to automation, modularity, and interfaces to FEM simulation will be part of your tasks.
• You will create verification reports to document the test results.
• As an expert in your field, you will ensure the technical availability of our measuring and testing equipment.

Your profile – qualified

• 
  The ideal candidate is an engineer of electrical engineering, mechatronics or a comparable course of study, or technician with experience in automation technology.
• You have several years of professional experience in the field of
• You have a good system understanding and knowledge of servo drive technology, design of electrical machines, control technology and measurement technology.
• Good knowledge in requirements management.
• Experience in planning and realising test set-ups.
• You know how to analyse complex tasks and develop solutions.
• As you will be working in an international environment, very good English language skills are essential.
