Job Summary:
Saluda Medical is a global medical device company with headquarters in Australia and offices in the United States and Europe, whose aim is to develop and commercialize closed-loop Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS).
The Clinical Specialist is the primary clinical support who works with and assist sales representatives to develop new sales opportunities and accounts with physician and hospital accounts. They also provide technical expertise, product demonstrations, patient care, installation and maintenance of company products. This position reports directly to the Country Manager or Regional Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with physicians and staff at assigned clinical sites by providing a high level of service and responsiveness by providing ongoing education and clinical expertise regarding the use of company’s products.
- Possess and share superior clinical knowledge of the Company’s products, their clinical applications, instructions for use, and procedural techniques.
- Provide technical and educational training to physicians and staff on the use of the company’s products.
- Provide case support, including Operating Room/procedure support.
- Work with sales, marketing and R/D personnel to communicate product, clinical and market information to appropriate Saluda personnel to support and develop product improvements.
- Serve as primary resource for clinical support including, but not limited to: troubleshooting, programming, and patient follow-up for company products.
- Perform patient follow-up to assure customer and patient success with the implanted products.
- Develop and maintain business relationships with hospital personnel.
- Visit customers and patients in a clinical environment (hospitals, operating rooms, clinics, surgical centers).
- Communicate with Patients and Clients afterhours and on weekends as needed
- Travel daily within territory.

Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Four years of experience in a clinical or hospital environment.
- 2+ years of experience in implantable medical devices
Must have a valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance policy.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Operating room sales highly desirable.
- Analytical skills, including statistical analysis preferable.
- PC skills necessary (MS Office/Excel) and experience with sales force automation tools
- Ability to travel 60%.
- Possess high empathy and compassion for patients.
- SCS experience and/or patient interaction experience preferable.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and influence relationships.
- Analytical skills, including statistical analysis.
- Experience in a consultative sales role a plus.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize own daily work routine to meet region requirements.
- Adhere to company policies and conducts all business in an ethical manner.
- Computer proficiency.
