Purpose of the role
As Logistics Infrastructure Manager (f/m/d), you will be responsible for designing, implementing, overseeing, and optimizing the logistical infrastructure for the CCUS logistics value chain. Your primary focus will be on designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient and effective infrastructure at the CO2 Capture/Emitter Sites.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including carbon capture team, logistics operations, project managers on specific projects (national & international), other EEP & E.ON departments, contract & procurement, legal, insurance, HSEQ and IT, to ensure the logistics infrastructure meets our strategic goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement logistics infrastructure for emitter projects, analyzing location requirements, assessing layout, ownership, and regulatory needs. Coordinate the design, construction, and maintenance for optimal operations at emitter/carbon capture sites
- Support regulatory, permit, and procurement processes at emitter sites to ensure efficient logistics solutions
- Evaluate Operation and Maintenance and Logistics Operations' QHSE requirements, aligning with the Project Team
- Optimize logistics networks by collaborating with project teams to improve transportation routes, inventory, and distribution networks. Work with external partners for enhancement opportunities (e.g., Hub & Spoke, Bundling, Pooling, Sharing)
- Manage vendors by evaluating and selecting logistics infrastructure suppliers, cooperating for project-specific needs, and maintaining strong partnerships for quality service and compliance
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and implement risk mitigation strategies for logistics infrastructure and on-site operations. Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, ideally with focus on transportation and/or logistics; a master's degree is a plus
- Asset Management Experience of industrial facilities (ideally with a link towards logistics assets)
- Experience in transportation and logistics operations and infrastructure management
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in logistics and transportation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
- Pro-active leadership and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and adapt to changing priorities
- Command of German & English languages on professional level
