Job Description:
Harpoon Technology & Consultancy Pvt Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Test Engineer to join our team on a remote basis. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests using Cypress framework.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test cases using the Cypress testing framework
- Collaborate with development teams to understand product functionality and develop appropriate test plans
- Utilize MySQL databases in testing environments
- Report, document, and track defects through JIRA issue tracking system
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality of software products
- Adhere to Agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban practices
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5.0+ years of experience in Test Engineering or related field
- Expertise in automation testing using Cypress framework and its associated tools
- Strong understanding of SQL and MySQL databases
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical, problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with JIRA issue tracking system is a plus
Experience Necessary
Minimum of 5 years writing and executing automated testing on Cypress or Playwright
Minimum of 2 years experience executing API testing
Knowledge of CI/CD workflow
Knowledge of MySQL and SQL testing
Comfortable with Postman - perform & and write test cases for REST API
Comfortable with AWS services
Experience with ephemeral environments
Experience with Jira
Experience with Agile processes

Ability to work with an existing team of developers
Able to perform various tests: Regression, Integration, System, etc.
Understands the importance of dev/stage/prod environment testing
Strong Project Management skills
