Analyst Investment Banking / Equity Capital Markets (m/w/d)
Your responsibilities
The ECM team is responsible for the sourcing and structuring as well as the execution of capital market transactions. The position is characterized by high-paced project work in a demanding and highly dynamic environment. A successful candidate will work together closely with our global sales force, our experienced research team and highly skilled special execution team as well as our legal team to:
- Support and execute transactions such as IPOs, capital increases, secondary placement and share buybacks as well as involvement in pre-IPO financing rounds.
- Construct complex market and company analyses independently (e.g. financial modelling and peer group analysis).
- Create presentations, e.g. pitch books, marketing materials, capital market & sector updates, steering committee and industry studies.
- Conduct continuous data analysis of individual companies and market sectors.
- Actively contribute to the further development and improvement of established processes and infrastructure.
Your profile
- A bachelor's or master's degree in business or economics is required.
- You have an initial practical experience within an investment bank or corporate finance firm with exposure to ECM transactions and project management.
- You have a strong fundamental understanding of accounting and valuation principles.
- You're comfortable in PowerPoint with the ability to create high quality investor and company presentations.
- You have strong quantitative / analytic reasoning and problem-solving abilities and you're interested in finance, investment banking, and the capital markets.
- You're familiar with Microsoft Office and an advanced knowledge of Python and VBA is a big plus.
- Your impeccable interpersonal and communication skills allowing you to interact with peers, senior internal/external management, and clients in an articulate and appropriate manner.
- You're a self-confident personality with the ability to work as a team player and to proactively take responsibilities for the tasks to be performed.
- Fluent English and German skills are required.
- You're paying attention to details, and you're ambitious to deliver products to the highest of standards of quality.
