Project A08: Lagrangian devices with a validated model in multi-particle tracking bei Technische Universität Hamburg
For the Institute of at Hamburg University of Technology for October 1st 2023 we are looking for a:
RESEARCH ASSOCIATE (m/f/d) / WISSENSCHAFTLICHER MITARBEITER (m/w/d)
full time and limited until June 30th 2027. The remuneration is in accordance with
No.: 23223WSFBE7A08
in the Collaborative Research Center (CRC) ""
A major key to success in facing climate change and creating more resilient supply chains is the transformation of feedstocks from fossil resources to renewable raw materials.
Led by the Hamburg University of Technology, the CRC 1615 is developing processes and reactors that respond flexibly to the fluctuating properties of renewable raw materials, thus enabling self-adapting, more resilient process engineering
Project A08: Lagrangian devices with a validated model in multi-particle tracking
Project A08 will develop Lagrangian devices that can function as sensors and actuators and are substantially smaller than existing Lagrangian sensors.
To enable accurate tracking of multiple particles, we will integrate sensor readings from the devices with a newly developed real-time model for their trajectories. This will deliver a high fidelity tracking mechanism that is robust and can cope with issues like noise, missing or ambiguous data and other adverse effects. Ultimately, this will allow the sensors to provide a comprehensive view of the internal state of a chemical reactor and enable their use for closed-loop control.
YOUR TASKS
- Development of a wireless, autonomous microsystem for localization of multi particles as a Lagrangian device moving with the flow in a chemical reactor
- Method development for miniaturization of the Lagrangian device with autonomous power supply and wireless data transmission
- Method development for localization of multi particles in collaboration with the Institute of Mathematics using a real-time model for trajectory prediction
- Design, realization and test of the Lagrangian devices and the readout system
