Translation Imaging Lead (all genders)
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Translation Imaging Lead (all genders), you'll shape our clinical and biomarker imaging strategy, driving drug development from preclinical stages to clinical trials. Your focus will be on oncology programs, ensuring the use of advanced imaging techniques and radiomics algorithms to enhance precision medicine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement imaging strategies across oncology programs.
- Lead the creation of radiomics tools for precision medicine.
- Collaborate with preclinical and clinical teams to integrate cutting-edge imaging techniques.
- Guide the use of imaging biomarkers for decision-making throughout drug development.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards for imaging activities.
- Independently lead self-empowered matrix teams in-line with Bayer’s VACC leadership standards
- Take ownership, fosters a culture of ownership in support of the strategy and in line with Bayer’s values; empowers others and drives peer accountability across portfolio deliverables and beyond.
- Foster relationships with academic institutions and industry partners.
WHO YOU ARE
- MD/PhD or equivalent (preferred) or Masters’ degree/Bachelors ‘degree in radiology, nuclear medicine, imaging physics, or image analysis.
- Several years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Proven track record of research and/or clinical development (including strong experiences in oncology applications with emphasis on radiological and /or PET/SPECT imaging and biomarker use)
- In-depth understanding of imaging and clinical development in oncology; including detailed experience with regulatory framework for biomarkers, and use of imaging for registration of Oncology products. Experience interacting with imaging CROs.
- Outstanding scientific reputation as evidenced by multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals and as speaker of conferences and strong network in the academic and clinical community of imaging specialties (mandatory) and of Oncology (preferred).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (fluency in English, oral and written
