We are looking for a Global Product Developer that will be part of our Global Fermented Category Innovation team, based at our site in Upahl - between Wismar and Lübeck. As a product developer you will be part of our Product & Innovation organization, spread across 6 different locations including the Arla Innovation Centre in Denmark. You will be part of that group of product, science and technology experts and will benefit from a network of international colleagues who deliver innovative products and solutions to all categories and countries where Arla operates. Especially important -> You work and live in a region where others go on vacation. The picturesque cities of Lübeck, Schwerin and Wismar are in the immediate vicinity. The Baltic Sea invites you to swim in the summer.

Your tasks:

• Participation to ideation workshops for our Global brands
• Realisation of product developments for the Skyr & Quark category in Upahl in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Carrying out product development activities on a pilot scale, on an industrial scale and implementation on a production scale
• Development of new product ideas and maintenance of recipes in compliance with food regulations
• Carrying out pilot trials and implementation in production processes
• Independent project work and collaboration in project management
• Close exchange with suppliers
• Cross-location, also international development activities

Your profile:

• Completed studies in food technology/food engineering or master craftsman or technician from the dairy sector.
• Several years of professional experience in the dairy industry in a comparable area of responsibility desirable
• Experience in the production of fermented dairy products
• Ability to work in a team and above-average commitment
• Determined in decision making and creative in problem solving
• Unconventional thinking and a problem-solving attitude -> out of the box
• Very good English & German language skills, both written and spoken
• Willingness to travel
