This position is ideal for seasoned individual contributors who have already gained some technical leadership experience and are looking to expand it.
Tasks:
- Develop, deploy, and operate web apps and cross-platform mobile applications using React/Capacitor or similar frameworks/tools.
- Develop, deploy, and operate containerized backends (NodeJs, Python, or PHP) running on AWS.
- Take ownership and responsibility for an application's reliability and (parts of) its architecture, including owning technical KPIs with the autonomy to manage them.
- Work on technical debt and refactoring in a structured and consistent manner.
- Collaborate with the product team to discuss new features and provide early feedback on technical limitations and constraints.
- Mentor and support junior team members in their development as software engineers.
Requirements:
- A degree in Computer Science or a similar field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in web or mobile app development, using technologies such as React.js, Angular, Vue (frontend), Ionic, React Native (mobile), NodeJS, Django, Flask, Symfony (backend).
- At least 5 years of experience with Cloud Service Providers like AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, etc., particularly in containerized services, Serverless, and databases.
- A minimum of 1 year of technical leadership experience, including leading (parts of) a software development team.
- A passion for superior user experience, aiming to deliver high-quality software that solves user problems.
- German language proficiency is a plus.
