In space exploration, we shape the future with unique research services for the safety of space systems, develop innovative scientific instruments for Earth observation, and build small satellites for technology demonstrations.
Recently, we have expanded our space research to the field of “Geoanalytics”.
For our location in Freiburg we are looking for you to strengthen our “System Solution” department in the area of “Geoanalytics”.
What you will do
Building the future
In our geoanalytics group, we conduct research in the field of information extraction from satellite-based Earth observation imagery. We develop novel methods for the acquisition, processing, fusion, analysis, and visualization of own data from EMI nanosatellite and commercial Earth observation data. You will support us in developing innovative solutions for applications based on Earth observation data.
Use creativity and research flexibility
With your expertise and creative ideas, you will design and develop applications with modern graphical user interfaces, integrating and visualizing sensor and geospatial data. You will create APIs and geospatial data analysis tools and will be responsible for project acquisition and management.

With your results, you make an important and forward-looking contribution to solving societal and ecological challenges, improving decision-making processes, and actively shaping the future of space exploration.

Creativity requires communication: you are an active part of our scientific discourse.
