TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE/
RESEARCH ASSOCIATE (M/F/D)

We are looking for support in our Animal Models & Imaging unit to start as soon as possible. The successful
candidate will be working with preclinical mouse models to support the development of innovative
immunotherapies (e.g. antibody-based therapies, RNA-based vaccines, combination therapies) against cancer
and other diseases.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
Exploring and improving state of the art and new, innovative immunotherapies in the field of cancer
immunotherapy (e.g. monoclonal antibody treatment, chemo-/radiotherapy, RNA lipoplex-based
vaccination etc.)
Planning, execution and analysis of preclinical mouse experiments including documentation according to
official & internal guidelines
Supporting and conducting immunological in vitro assays based on multicolor flow cytometry, ELISA and
ELIspot
Establishment and standardization of new methods
Writing of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Contribution to tasks of general lab organization
What you bring:
A completed apprenticeship as technical assistance, bachelor or master degree in life sciences
A FELASA function A (former FELASA category B) or similar qualification
Practical experience in conducting animal experiments is a must, ideally with preclinical tumor models or
immunotherapies
Experience in performing in vitro assays based on multicolor flow cytometry techniques, immunological
methods such as ELISA and ELIspot as well as immunological background are a plus
You should be highly interested in applied, translational research and able to work in an international,
interdisciplinary research team
