In this role, you will be joining an emerging ERM Germany practice area supporting clients with work specifically related to changing climate trends, how these impact our clients’ businesses, and how to better navigate transition issues on the path to net zero. Across the team, we are building expertise linked to the assessment of climate change scenario data, assessments of risk and opportunity including the use of advanced risk assessment techniques, financial impact quantification/ modelling, merging climate and nature risk, transition planning, and reporting. An opportunity has emerged for a candidate to join this part of the team as a (Senior) Consultant. Whilst the role is focused on transition climate risk and opportunity, it will require the successful candidate to support our clients across the team. Additionally, the role will include significant elements of innovation and service development to further enhance our offering.

Responsibilities
As a (Senior) Consultant you will support our lead on our work for clients on climate risk but also frequently ‘deep dive’ into transition climate subject matter, working closely with our team of technical consultants. Some key parts of the expected role will include:
Working in collaboration with the transition lead and a Partner in Charge, you would act as the day to day contact of our client work, being part of teams and delivering proposals and project deliverables to clients. Projects typically extend across climate risk and opportunity, and for the right individual this offers the chance to over time become the go-to advisor to ERM’s key clients. More specifically the role will include:
- Support the analysis of transition climate data from multiple sources using ERM’s proprietary suite of analytical tools, and ensuring that these and other outputs enable our clients to meet assessment, disclosure, and change implementation needs;
- Participate in the preparation of reports, workshop materials, presentations, and technical summaries. The individual will be busy day to day on projects and be expected to meet expectations in terms of delivery across multiple projects simultaneously to achieve individual and team targets; and supporting Partners and teams to develop proposals, including for clients across a wide range of sectors. The individual will be expected to participate in pitches and selling work, working alongside Partners and other leaders within the business.
The technical elements of the role will include working with clients on how to assess, manage and disclose climate-related risks. This could include but is not limited to transition risk and opportunity driver data and assessment (including use of scenarios), development of climate processes, financial quantification, preparation of annual and other reporting and other topics. The candidate will be involved in building solutions that enable our clients to analyze financial impacts of risks and opportunities. It is also typical for projects to include innovation during delivery, and the candidate will be expected to bring this within their work.
