About the role

As a Working Student in our Operations department, you will assume a pivotal role in maintaining the seamless execution of various operational responsibilities, with a primary focus on providing support to the Finance team. As we embark on our rapid expansion into the USA, we are seeking assistance in scaling our financial operations both in Germany and the US.

This multifaceted role is your opportunity to gain firsthand insights into the inner workings of a fast-growing startup's operational backbone. Your meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and aptitude for cross-functional collaboration will be fundamental in upholding operational efficiency. You will be an integral part of our team, reporting directly to the Head of Operations. Your practical, hands-on approach will help shape the operational framework that drives our organization towards becoming a robust and efficient engine for innovative decision-making. This position demands a proactive approach and an entrepreneurial mindset to turn concepts into concrete realities.

Taktile is a hybrid company, however we want to optimize the learning experience for junior candidates with as much in-person interaction as we can, so we prefer candidates who can join us at our HQ office in Berlin*.

• Collaborate with the Head of Operations to construct resilient processes within the finance department, setting the foundation for financial excellence.

• Conduct preliminary accounting tasks, including expense coding and categorization, to optimize the accounting process.

• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure proper expense reimbursement.

• Lead the customer invoicing process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of invoices to clients.

• Prepare, verify, and process employee payroll data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

• Support the Head of Operations in various tasks related to financial reporting.

• Engage on other operational tasks across the department covering topics in Human Resources Management, Administration, and Legal.

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• Berlin based. Office attendance is required.

• Fluent in German and English.

• Familiarity with finance processes.

• 16-20 hours of work per week.
