With a dedicated team of experts, our Clariant Engineering & Process Technology team focuses on customer fulfilment, safety and efficiency.

To further build up our team we are looking for a Process Project Manager (m/f/d) at our Gendorf site. You bring your passion about technology and innovation as well as your chemical engineering expertise to address challenges that arise in our process innovation, production facilities and investment projects. You work closely together with other process experts and the engineering teams on sites, to drive the development of innovative, sustainable processes and products. With your engagement, you contribute to shape Clariant's transformation towards a net-zero emission company. Together with your project team you will identify and implement state of the art technologies that address upcoming challenges and ensure the long-term competitiveness of our production facilities. In this endeavor, you collaborate closely with academia, research organizations, expert networks, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Drive innovation and sustainable technologies in our site and production processes.
• Project management in early concept phases.
• Develop new, state-of-the-art solutions for the optimization of our existing production technologies.
• Lead Clariant’s transformational way towards our sustainability goals (for 2030 and beyond).
• Transfer of know-how between sites and business units.
• Intensive collaboration with specialists from our business units, technology experts, simulation specialists and persons responsible for sustainability, and the lab and pilot plant team in concept studies.
• Collaborate with academia, research organizations, expert networks, and vendors.
• Prepare investment projects and process design packages.
• Generate ideas and communicate the results in a clear and precise manner.
• Provide regular and ad-hoc reports on project progress and align developments with other departments such as global intellectual property management.

Requirements

• University degree in process or chemical engineering, PhD preferred.
• Sound chemical as well as process engineering know-how.
• Minimum professional experience of 3+ years in a similar role.
• Proven track record in project management and leadership skills.
• Passion to work in interdisciplinary and intercultural teams.
• Effective networker with an eye for customer centricity.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written); German minimum level B2.
• Excellent communication skills and team player.
