A Helmholtz funded advanced research assistant position in computational biology is available in the laboratory of Duncan Odom at the DKFZ's research program in Functional and Structural Genomics. We are seeking to hire a computational reasearch assistant for our team supporting the laboratory's bioinformatics infrastructure at the DKFZ. You will also carry out a range of research activities and organizational duties in our dynamic research group and closely interact with collaborating bioinformatics groups in Heidelberg and Cambridge.
Job description:
We are looking for a well-trained and highly motivated candidate who is excited to join a laboratory using single-cell, spatial and functional genomics to answer fundamental questions in organismal and cancer evolution. This position requires high computational competence, expertise and enthusiasm. This post is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team that supports the research portfolio of a cutting-edge genomics research group.

A strong knowledge of bioinformatics and computational biology is absolutely imperative.
