Job description:

We are looking for a well-trained and highly motivated candidate who is excited to join a laboratory using single-cell, spatial and functional genomics to answer fundamental questions in organismal and cancer evolution. This position requires high computational competence, expertise and enthusiasm. Requirements:

A strong knowledge of bioinformatics and computational biology is absolutely imperative.

Specific Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in computational biology, bioinformatics, information technology or related field is required.
• Fluency in Linux is essential.
• Excellent knowledge of Python is essential.
• Experience with quantitative data processing and database formats is essential.
• Ability to keep good up-to-date records and write standard operating procedures is essential.
• Fluency in R is highly advantageous.
• Experience or enthusiasm to learn collaborative software development methods, for instance version control (git) highly advantageous.
• Prior experience with next generation sequencing data, spatial transcriptomics, and/or proteomics would be desirable.
• Requires excellent communication skills in English; German fluency would be highly desirable.
