One of the main tasks of our section "IFRS 17 Group Systems” is the maintenance and further development of SAP FPSL (Financial Products Subledger under S / 4 HANA Finance ), the core system in our Munich Re Group´s IFRS 17 global system landscape. The key objective is to ensure the system-related requirements for the preparation and reporting of financial statements for the technical business under IFRS 17 "Insurance Contracts" at the individual company level as input for the MR Group´s IFRS 17 financial statements as well as for IFRS 17 as local GAAP.

We are part of the department “IFRS 17 Group Coordination” which is responsible for the coordination of overarching IFRS 17 topics for the whole MR Group. Here also lies the IFRS 17 Global Product Owner role as coordination and governance instance for the central IFRS 17 system landscape. We are looking for a Junior Consultant in “IFRS17 Group Systems” to support us with the maintenance and further development of our SAP FPSL system. The onboarding will be supported by our experienced colleagues and based on an induction and training plan. Training on the job within our team will allow a step-by-step introduction and familiarization with our IFRS 17 sub-ledger SAP FPSL and respective tasks alongside building up further technical and also methodological knowledge. This provides a solid basis for further development and career opportunities.

YOUR JOB

• Support in system preparation, pre-closing activities and implementation of IFRS 17 Actual Closing, forecast & planning and simulation
• Adoption and specification of new (regulatory) requirements for FPSL in close cooperation with so-called delegates of the segments and the request providers, for example from within our division FRR or from the segments
• Implementation of the requirements for FPSL and coordination of tests of the implementation by the requestors
• Processing or support of technical and procedural questions on FPSL and system interfaces (e.g. to General Ledgers like SAP Global Template, ECON as group consolidation and reporting system, notes delivery)
• Contact person for requests from the reinsurance and primary insurance segments (life/health/property/casualty) or MR units, in particular support with data processing in FPSL for the respective reporting events
• Support in setting up and operating a group-wide 2nd level help desk for SAP FPSL
• Setting of account determination and maintenance / setting of the most current chart of accounts
• Participation in the development and implementation of FPSL system / process training courses for the various user groups

YOUR PROFILE

• Completed degree in business administration, economics, business informatics, mathematics or comparable field
• Interest in the introduction, maintenance and further development of an integrated SAP finance solution; first SAP FPSL knowledge would be beneficial
• Knowledge of IFRS (group) financial accounting and reporting, accounting-relevant knowledge of IFRS17
• Experience in project work or implementation of projects
• Willingness to constantly learn new things
• Quick comprehension, creativity and organizational skills
• Teamwork, communication and integration skills in a group-wide environment
• Very good knowledge of German and English
