Our Sales Development Team partners with Akamai's sales and marketing teams to guide the early stages of the sales cycle. SDR's primarily assist with new customer acquisition by generating qualified pipeline that converts to booked deals,

Become a trusted advisor to customers

Be responsible for generating qualified sales opportunities. Through combination of outbound prospecting, marketing lead follow up, monitoring inbound chat and telephony solutions. Using a mix of phone, email and social strategies. This role is focused on generating pipeline in Italy.

As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for:

• Identifying, prospecting and penetrating prospect and customer accounts to achieve opportunity and pipeline targets.
• Setting qualified introductory meetings for aligned account executives while nurturing early stage pipeline.
• Collaborating with sales and marketing colleagues in region to optimize demand generation and pipeline development.
• Leveraging industry-leading tools, including Salesforce, Salesloft, Drift, LinkedIn and more to maximize productivity.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have entry- level related industry work experience or be able to demonstrate relevant, equivalent sales experience.
• Have experience identifying business needs through information-gathering to pre-qualify opportunities.
• Be comfortable speaking with decision makers, including C-level via various mediums (social, email, phone and video).
• Have experience with Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and Salesloft or similar sales productivity tools.
• Enjoy working in a diverse team with a desire to grow in the organisation.
• Have deep verbal and written communications skills; fluent in Italian and English
