ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Marketing and Social Media Associate is charged with thoughtful promotion of GrainPro’s brand in Latin America. This role works closely with the global marketing team to generate local content, ensure communication in local language(s), and serve as a liaison with regional distributors, content developers, and translators of corporate materials. The position reports directly into the Division Manager but also works very closely with the Latin American sales team and their distributors, as well as the Global Marketing team out of the Philippines. The role is based in Latin America.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

Key responsibilities of the Digital Marketing Associate include, but are not limited to:

• Creation of New Content:
  • Identify and develop relevant local content relating to local themes, holidays, commodities, etc.
• Direct point of contact for Latin America distributors related to marketing
  • Proactive communication and marketing support with distributors.
• Translation of Existing Content:
  • Website, blog articles, social media posts, instructional manuals into Spanish and/ or Portuguese.
  • Coordinate event preparation with Events Specialist and local regional managers and distributors.
• External Partners:
  • Identify relevant media sources and publications for marketing collaboration.
• Landscape Analysis:
  • Conduct research on markets, competitors, and keywords for searches.
• Global Marketing Team:
  • Serve as a member of the global marketing team.

REQUIREMENTS:

The Digital Marketing Associate will be a skilled marketing professional with at least 3 years of experience including online and digital marketing. S/he/ they will have experience promoting brands within a diverse and dynamic entity. She/ he/ they must be energized by growth and show a willingness to try creative approaches to solve problems.

The Digital Marketing Associate will have the following experience and attributes:

• A minimum of a BA or BS
• Required fluency in Portuguese, Spanish, and English
• Experience working in the coffee sector, preferred.
• Demonstrable passion for GrainPro’s mission.
• Experience working across different cultures and lines of difference.

• An effective communicator, with strong oral and written skills and a willingness to share information.
• Strong planning and organizational skills: planning ahead, meeting deadlines, and multi-tasking. Able to juggle multiple competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• A collaborative and flexible style with a strong service mentality.
• Able to operate at both strategic and operational levels. Able to exercise strong judgment, decision-making, and good governance.
• Willingness to do whatever it takes and belief that no job is too big or too small.
• Skilled in Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Sheets and Microsoft Office Suite, and particularly agile in Excel.
• Skilled in using new technologies, including online communication platforms, such as Zoom video conferencing.
• Able to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed to support international time zone collaboration.
