Region NCE > Sales East & Business Development
Vestas NCE Sales East is responsible for all sales related activities from early engagement with our customers, through bidding and negotiation until hand-over to construction upon a successful closure of a contract. The Sales East team consists of a diverse group of skilled and proficient employees covering the markets from the Baltics, Central East- and South East Europe, Balkans, Caucasus and Central Asia, alongside a team that provides global bid management and sales support to the sales regions. Sales East consists of skilled and enthusiastic Sales Managers and Commercial Engineers located in Hamburg, Bucharest, Vienna and Warsaw.
Responsibilities
As Director Sales in Sales East (f/m/d) you are responsible for meeting and exceeding our annual order intake forecast on multiple KPI dimensions. You are overall responsible for implementing Vestas' profitable growth strategy by handling our the sales portfolio from customers in Eastern Europe.
You are the people manager for a dynamic Sales team. You will guide and develop our Senior / Sales Managers and Commercial Engineers. You are a role model to our commercial community and share the same Vestas values, commitment, accountability, collaboration & simplicity. You will be responsible driving the right culture in your team
You define and implement the Vestas strategy for your region in the context of our global and regional strategy house.
You build relationships and strategic partnerships with our most important and senior customers in the region. You act as escalation point to support our Sales Managers. You present and obtain mandates on large key deals with Vestas Executive Management.
Together with other Sales Directors, you are part of our Sales East Management team. As a Commercial Leader at Vestas, you take ownership in cross-regional and cross-functional strategies and align priorities with other senior leaders at Vestas
Qualifications
8 years of professional experience. Proven commercial and leadership experience - ideally from renewables, CAPEX intensive B2B business, consulting, finance or asset management
Ideally, you have experience in leadership of people or wider teams. You apply your leadership skills to inspire and guide others to reach your goals and aspirations
Battle-proven commercial proven history from complex negotiations of large projects / contracts. You can create win-win scenarios when things get stuck. You can articulate consequences from a commercial and contractual point of view
Ability to present the most complex information professionally and convincingly to ensure high perception, acceptance, and alignment. Significant PowerPoint skills required
Solid understanding of financial models / business models of our customers. Solid Excel skills required
Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or equivalent
Fluent in English, and other local language will be evaluated positively
