A. Purpose and Scope of Position
As an IT Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for manage, administer and maintain the Paradigm IT infrastructure.
B. Organizational Relationship
This position reports to the Director, International Accounting. This position may provide additional support to other departments as requested.
C. Duties and Responsibilities
- Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Manage, administer, and maintain Paradigm’s IT infrastructure & network environment including Servers, Switches, Backup System, Printers, and Clients (Workstations, Desktops, Notebooks, and Smart-Phones), regardless of if physical or virtual
- Work with the Director of IT with regards to the general setup, maintenance, improvement and security of Paradigm IT systems and environment including Paradigm Spine GmbH.
- Communicate information security risks, contribute vulnerability and risk assessments (SFIA – SCTY Lv.3)
- Conduct analytical activities and delivers analysis outputs in accordance to agreed standards (SFIA – INAN Lv.3)
- Builds research goals within given goals by applying standard methods. Creates reports based on results (SFIA – INOV Lv.3)
- Creates and Maintains network plans, plans the infrastructure to provide required network services to meet business needs. (SFIA – NTPL & NTDS – Lv.5)
- Extend user experiences by contributing personas for key user segments. Implements procedures to apply developed standards (SFIA – UNAN, HCEV, USEV – Lv. 3 – 4)
- Defines & Creates build definition & packages for software deployment (SFIA – SINT, PORT – Lv. 3-4)
- Contributes the definition, analysis, planning, maintenance, operations and improvement of all aspects of a service management environment. (SFIA – AVMT – Lv. 4)
- Work with and assist with external IT consultants, if necessary
- Provide first- and second-level IT support to Paradigm employees
- Financial Responsibilities
- Submit timely expense reports and abide by the Expense Reimbursement Policy
- Training
- Participate in training plans and programs and complete in a timely manner within set deadlines
- Complete required training prior to attempting to perform a task
- Maintain required training documentation
- Management
- This position does not supervise others
- Document Control and Record Control
- Assist in the completion and retention of documentation pertaining to all SOPs as required
- Maintain information in physical and electronic files as required
D. Job Requirements
- Education/Credentials Experience & Training
- Completed apprenticeship or equivalent in information technology (e.g. Fachinformatiker) is required
- Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant IT experience is required
- Experience in administration of IT and Network infrastructure is required
- Experience in administration of a Windows Server and Active Directory environment is required
- Demonstrated administrative skills in dealing with first-level user support in a sales and marketing environment is preferred

5. Working Conditions
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment with an open layout and assigned workstation or office
- Work will require occasional weekend/evening work
- Standard office hours are Monday – Friday; 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Work may require prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer

- Must be able to occasionally lift and handle objects weighing up to 10 lbs.
