One Web & Mercedes Me Home

In the Area of Mercedes-Benz OneWeb & Mercedes Me Home, we create customer experiences for the Web and App channels. We focus on the entire customer journey by using platform solutions that enable our customers’ different touchpoints across cars, products and services around the car.

With our products such as the Mercedes-Benz Worldwide Website (OneWeb), Car Configurator, Online Test-Drive Booking and the Mercedes Owner Area “Mercedes Me Home” and many more, we are building a seamless and luxurious experience for our customers.

As the Engineering Manager in this area you are fully responsible for leading the development teams to achieve our ambitious business goals.

E-Commerce (Online Sales)

In the E-Commerce Area we create a digital sales experience for our customers. We focus specifically on the purchasing phase of the customer journey by using platform solutions that enable and provide different touchpoints to experience a seamless and luxurious digital sales experience.

With our online shops for new and used cars we are an important part of the digital transformation of the Marketing & Sales department of Mercedes-Benz. The products & services enable our customer to experience a seamless digital sales journey and allows Mercedes-Benz to re-shape the sales strategies and business processes. “Future of Commerce” is the enabler for our future sap commerce cloud based commerce platform – the technological hearth of the online sales solutions. With the Assortment “Service Contracts” we are creating a pilot based on this new technology – moving E-Commerce towards the “future of commerce”.

Platform & System Teams

In the Platform & System-Team area, we provide reliable cloud solutions and different technical services to enable Mercedes-Benz digital products to focus on their business purpose.
Within our platform teams, we build up cloud infrastructure and services such as CI/CD Tools, Monitoring & Logging solutions, and many more tools used by our software development teams.

Besides just providing tools, our teams collaborate closely with the Software Development teams to ensure and increase developer satisfaction by optimizing the platform services.

As the Engineering Manager in this area, you are fully responsible for the people and leading the cross-functional-teams to achieve our ambitious goals.

Solution Level & Shared Services

In the Solution Level & Shared Service Area, we work especially on cross ART tasks. The solution level is the conceptual heart of the SAFe framework in the Digital House translating large Epics into workable Roadmap Items together with the ARTs. Providing guidelines and strategic direction will help to guide all teams towards our joined goals. The shared Services are teams consulting the ARTs and providing expertise where needed. Teams as Production operations support, incident management, and data analytics teams are part of this area. Cross cutting roles such as Business, Solution, System, and User Experience Architects have their homes in this area even if they spend most of their time working with product teams.
