Tailoring our solutions to our customers’ needs has always been an integral part of atrain’s identity and value proposition.
As such, Account Managers and Customer Teams enjoyed maximum autonomy to craft solutions from a content and delivery process perspective. This resulted in a very fragmented landscape of approaches and practices around how we deliver customer projects.
While our solution portfolio was consolidated into 9 key solutions areas (“big 9”), there is still no consolidated process landscape or aligned project management approach.
To scale our business but also to ensure top quality as well as efficiency in delivery, your role focuses on developing and implementing an aligned process and project management approach and fostering lean thinking and continuous improvement within the community of Project Managers and the entire company.
Given the outlined history, managing change in a self-organized environment (without formal authority) will be a key change management challenge.
We are breaking up the boundaries between our US and European customer and support function teams and strive to collaborate within one global, team-based ecosystem in the future. Facilitating the alignment of the process and tool landscape across our entities will be a key contribution of your role to this endeavor.
Desired Impact
Establish Project Management as a core pillar of atrain’s success (next to content and customers)
A coherent process landscape that allows for scaling our business is developed and implemented together with the affected teams
The process landscape it adhered to across all our entities – the “growing together” process is fostered by aligned ways of working
All repeat work is carried out based on defined and company-wide aligned end-to-end processes (which need to be defined first)
Enhanced process focus and adherence across the company / successful change management away from a very individualized working styles
Increase efficiency of delivery through standardized processes and practices
Foster a lean mindset and continuous improvement of efficiency and quality
Curate and enable the Project Manager / Project Coordinator Community within the customer teams
Key internal projects are executed in a well-structured and consistent manner
Requirements
Project Management Expertise in a service company
Process Management Expertise in a service company, systemic perspective, ability to assess, define, implement, and continuously evolve processes across all key business areas
Experience & expertise in working in an agile, self-organized environment
Working based on agile principles
Fluent in English
