Are you an insatiable reader? Are you constantly staying on top of current events? Do you have experience working with digital content? Are you fluent in both? Meltwater is seeking a committed and detail-oriented individual with a passion for news and business information to fill this part-time position. You would produce time-sensitive electronic Executive Summary newsletters using the monitoring and publishing tools provided by Meltwater, along with your superior knowledge of web-based and social media information search and retrieval.
What are Executive Summary Newsletters?
Executive Summary newsletters are Meltwater’s solution for providing clients with relevant news and business intelligence, curated and delivered daily by Meltwater’s Analysts, working as part of the Global Delivery Services team.
Our service includes dependable, same-day delivery of North American, European, and International news, filtered through a sophisticated human-engineered keyword process that ensures clients get only the stories they need, saving them both time and money. We serve clients in many languages and currently looking for candidates who speak German and English fluently.
What You'll Do:
- Your daily key responsibility will be to curate newsletters in German or English
- Scanning of coverage using our software and identifying key relevant articles/posts for the client
- Translate and summarise media content to deliver regular media newsletters as well as alerts to inform the client of any impending developments or crises arising in media coverage
- Ensure the accuracy, comprehensive coverage, and timely delivery of daily reports on the client’s media footprint
- Work cohesively with your team to ensure all deliverables and tasks are completed accurately and to tight deadlines
- Conduct quality assurance on newsletters and reports of other team members
Ideally, You Are:
- Professional proficiency in German and English languages (strong writing and communication skills)
- Currently residing in Germany
- Comfortable working remotely
- Entry level / have up to 1 - 2 years of work experience
- Able to work in high-pressure situations with tight deadlines
- Interested in current affairs, mainstream media, and social media
- Enjoyingt being in a client servicing role with a naturally strong customer focus
- Able to think critically – look at numbers, trends, and data and search for explanations for outcomes
- Meticulous – have an eye for detail and ability to exercise vigilance in analysis
Nice to Haves:
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Experience with Google Drive and Microsoft One Drive
- Reliable internet connection
Position:
Part-time, remote, fixed monthly salary
Hours of Work:
- Between the hours of 6:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. CET (varies)
- Max. 4 hours/day and 20 hours/week
- Ability to work Weekends and holidays preferred
