International Future Leadership Trainee Program (m/f/d)

Join the International Future Leadership Program and become a dynamic business and people leader. Gain hands-on experience in supply chain, production, engineering, and more through rotations across different Bayer locations. Build a global, interdisciplinary network and enhance your intercultural skills.

We are offering a permanent contract and start dates from January 2024. We are hiring for our locations in Germany and the US.

During the program you will be supported by:

• Individual mentoring by an experienced Bayer manager
• On-site coaching and training at the respective locations
An active and supportive trainee and alumni community

Who you are

• Strategic thinker, responsible, flexible, open to new opportunities
• Interested in building a career as a leader in Technical Operations in a production environment
• Willing to build up partnerships, collaborate across cultures and achieve common goals
• Internationally mobile
• Initial work experience (e.g., via internships in relevant areas)
• International and intercultural experience (studies or internships abroad)
• Excellent communication skills (fluency in English, basic (A2) German for people based in Germany, an additional language as a benefit)
• Master’s degree / PhD with excellent grades in Natural sciences/ pharmacy/ engineering/ technology / supply chain or similar background

Program details
As a Leadership Trainee (m/f/d) you will deliver results on focused projects and support the local units. Each assignment consists of a business and a learning goal. This is designed to grow your ability to deliver a wide range of operational, technical, conceptual, and strategic tasks. Hands-on assignments in functions such as manufacturing, quality control, supply chain, development, external manufacturing, operational excellence and digital will expose you to the diversity of Technical Operations and related technical functions.

Business Focus

Getting to know different departments based on the major/degree, personal skills, and personal career aspirations in the areas of:

• Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient production
• Solids, semi-solids, liquids and packaging operations
• Biotechnology
• Engineering (project management, maintenance, etc.)
• Supply Chain Management

Application procedure

If you successfully pass the Assessment Center

• Immediate receipt of the contract documents
• Assignment to one of the coaches
• Agreement on home base production site within Germany or USA (subject to work permit eligibility)
• Announcement of the first assignment (usually your home base) + length of stay
• Bayer onboarding week(s) accompanied by active trainees & a personal trainee buddy
• Start dates from January 2024
