The Department for Neuropediatrics and Metabolic Medicine at the Center for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine in Heidelberg has a large interdisciplinary team that cares for children and adolescents from the entire spectrum of neuropediatrics and pediatric metabolic medicine. The section is a recognized training center for neuropediatrics and specialization in pediatric metabolic medicine.

The scientific focus of the department is patient-oriented translational research. Central structural elements are international patient registries (e.g. https://www.eimd-registry.org/ or https://www.u-imd-registry.org/ , which use a “deep phenotyping” approach to enable comprehensive analysis of the phenotypic spectrum of inherited metabolic diseases. The patient registries are embedded in long-term international cooperation, like the RDCRN’s UCDC (https://ucdc.rarediseasesnetwork.org) and European reference networks (https://metab.ern-net.eu). A further focus is the application-accompanying data collection of approved innovative therapies (postauthorization safety studies, PASS), including a new project of the Innovation Fund of the Gemeinsamer Bundesausschuss (G-BA) to improve the supply structures of Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs).

The department is looking for a registry manager, supporting the continuous maintenance and development of the existing and new registries.

Your Tasks

Establishment, maintenance and administration of cross-disease patient registries, including definition of the data model and integration of established data dictionaries (e.g. Human Phenotype Ontology)
Data entry and maintenance, plausibility checks and queries management
Coordination of interdisciplinary tasks (requests or queries) as well as independent communication with cooperation partners and clinics including user administration
Simple statistical evaluation of registry data

Your Profil

Qualification in medical documentation or information management or a comparable qualification
Good knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Access), SQL, CentraXX etc. and databases
Good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
Experience in disease-related studies and medical terminology is desirable
Strong communication skills, ability to work in a team
Enjoy taking initiative and working independently
