We are offering an exciting opportunity as Head of Revenue Management to be an important part in paving the way for Vattenfall and its partners and customers towards a fossil free future!
The team Revenue Management forms a sub-function to Partnering and Revenue Solutions in Offshore Development, driving development of commodity offtake strategies and execution for all of Vattenfall’s offshore wind projects and operational assets. The purpose of the unit Partnering and Revenue Solutions is to cluster transaction and revenue management capabilities to act as a “one stop shop” towards partners and customers.
You will ensure that the levelized revenue of the energy that we produce and sell is optimized across the portfolio by identifying revenue strategies and implementing revenue solutions and power purchase agreements. Your team will support group wide “decarbonization of industry” efforts from Business Unit Offshore Wind and Business Area Wind. You will also be a key interface to Business Area Markets and Business Area Wind’s Industry Partnership teams. Alongside this, you will be managing and developing a dedicated and highly competent team located across different countries.

Business Area Wind is responsible for Vattenfall’s Onshore and Offshore Wind as well as other non-hydro renewable activities like PV/solar and batteries. Our offshore business is amongst the top three players globally and we are currently constructing the world’s first subsidy free offshore site. At present, our offshore portfolio consists of 2,0 GW in operation and 2,5 GW which is under construction or in pre-construction. It is our clear ambition to continue and even accelerate our strong growth in the future and help Vattenfall succeed in its mission to harness the forces which will take us to fossil freedom.
Qualifications
What will you do?
As Head of Revenue Management you will report directly to the Head of Partnering and Revenue Solutions and be part of a management team with Heads of Transaction Management and Transaction Service Level Agreements.
More specifically you will:
- Develop and execute comprehensive commodity offtake strategies for offshore development and operational assets
- Leverage revenue optimization to support final investment decisions and realization of projects
- Build and develop relations with prospective offtakers
- Together with BA Markets structure and negotiate commercially attractive offtake agreements
- Be part of driving pipeline growth through origination opportunities
- Develop and execute on optimal portfolio revenue mix for operational assets
- Support in the execution of tenders, partnerships and acquisitions to structure revenue solutions
- Monitor and assess development of offtake opportunities to bring new revenue streams into business cases
- Manage and develop a team (currently six people)
You will report to the Head of Partnering and Revenue Solutions within BA Wind’s BU Offshore Wind. Like all leaders in Vattenfall, you will have three main focus areas: drive innovation to develop our business, connect people to the bigger picture and to each other, and accelerate learning to use your and your team’s full potential.
Your profile as Head of Revenue Management
Required experience and skills
- Master’s degree in business/economics/engineering or other relevant discipline with a minimum of 5-10 years of work experience
- Extensive experience in developing and implementing commodity / offtake strategies for offshore wind development assets (or other energy assets)
- Deep understanding of corporate power purchase agreements
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to structure hands-on solutions to complex problems
- Excellent interpersonal skills and have a proven track record in building relations to create buy-in from stakeholders across all levels of the organization
- Proven track record of coaching and developing teams and individuals
- Ability to drive results and change in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English
