Our Social Media Specialist will be responsible for driving engagement across our social media channels, fostering a culture of community across our Fluke & Fluke Reliability customer base, and telling our story through various content streams. Position Summary:
As a Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the development and integration of social media campaigns and initiatives that drive; engagement, followership, and internal advocacy. Reporting to our Global Social Media Manager, this position is a global role with the opportunity to work across multiple regions. You will join a team of marketeers located around the world and be responsible for building and implementing our organic social media plan to improve perception and increase consideration of the Fluke brand and products.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience using social media to build brand awareness through storytelling, growing and nurturing communities, and generating user advocacy on a global and local scale. Day to day, you will manage our social platforms (utilizing Oktopost and Sprout social) including providing monthly analysis using their measurement tools. You will actively seek out opportunities for us to engage audiences, leveraging new and existing content platforms.
At a strategic level, you will support the development of our strategy and experimentation plan to connect with our fans and followers more effectively. At a tactical level, you will own the social team’s content calendar, create a steady stream of organic content, leverage performance metrics to experiment, test new content ideas, and provide regular performance reporting to all levels of the business. You will work within our wider brand and content team, as well as cross-functionally across Fluke and Fluke Reliability Marketing, Sales, Product & Support teams, and will be responsible for reviewing and editing social content across regions to ensure quality and consistency in our brand voice.
Essential functions:
Help to develop and implement the social media strategy after conducting competitive research, platform determination, messaging and audience identification.
Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules across our social platforms and pages
Plan, create, publish, and share compelling content (including video, animation, photography, blog/editorial, short-form videos, and other content) on a daily basis that builds meaningful customer connections, increases brand awareness, and encourages community members to engage with the brand
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, agencies, and other partners to identify, execute, and amplify social media efforts.
Drive content amplification on existing and emerging social media sites with employees and leadership.
Analyze, review, and report on the effectiveness of social to inform our social strategy, drive social media metrics and understand social media impact.
Be an expert on digital and social market trends, providing inspiration and thought leadership on ways to engage customers and fans.
Support influencer strategies and implementation
Own the conversation with our social community; using the brand tone of voice to respond to comments and direct messages and drive proactive interactions within relevant culture-led initiatives
Maintain close contact with relevant departments to ensure all social inquiries are answered or escalated as needed
Be willing to get creative, think outside the box, and come up with exciting social-first campaigns that support our messaging and storytelling.
Minimum Qualifications:
A degree in business, marketing, communication, or a related field
3+ years of experience within a mid-to-large size company responsible for executing digital or social marketing strategies.
A passion for social media marketing and digital storytelling
Sound written capabilities, with the ability to translate complex products into simple terms for our audience
A combination of B2B (lead generation) and B2C (eCommerce) experience, preferred.
Demonstrated experience driving results and innovation through social media platforms
