What to Expect Tesla Finance Team’s mission is to improve the company operationally and financially by working cross functionally to control costs and improve processes. The Team, currently in its infancy, is currently focused on setting up strong, sustainable processes to support the growth of Giga Berlin. In our next stage, we will grow with the business, ensuring sustainable growth and rising to scaling challenges, becoming a globally recognised finance team. We are looking for a Finance Analyst who is a strong and enthusiastic addition to our exciting, dynamic and international team; capable of working independently and collectively in an environment that offers creative freedom.
What You’ll Do - Propose and build controlling strategies from the bottom up, embrace the “blank sheet” with regard fixed asset management and control.
- Sharply and accurately identify asset risks and opportunities; and drive alignment around operational and financial actions to either minimize or mitigate risks.
- Keep it simple – ensure where possible improvements can be rolled out quickly with minimal effort for the business.
- Be the lead contact for allocated manufacturing shops; understand current and future projects; hold discussions with shop teams to capture data on assets’ status, cost and use; and ensure accurate reporting of fixed assets and depreciation.
- Reconciliation of inhouse systems and work towards full alignment.
- Build visualization reporting and analysis – improve efficiency and presentation of data retrieved from internal systems.
- Month end reporting – accruals and depreciation.
- Support the wider Plant Finance team, taking on individual areas of responsibility.
What You’ll Bring - Experience in industry / audit
- Academic degree in Finance/Business Administration / Professional Qualification, or experience
- Skills in Excel, BI, ERP systems, SQL (or willingness to learn)
- Excellent communication skills in English (German is a bonus)
- Hands-on mentality and willing to get your hands dirty
- High affinity for numbers and comfortable working with large sets of data
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks whilst under pressure
- Strong business acumen and a strong understanding of end-to-end processes
