RESEARCH ASSOCIATE (m/f/d)

We are looking for support in our Vaccine and Cellular Immunotherapy unit to start as soon as possible. The
successful candidate will work with preclinical human and mouse tumor models to develop innovative cancer
immunotherapies.
Our research interests includes the characterization of tumor-infiltrating immune cell as well as tumor cells
during therapy, involving cancer mRNA vaccines and other cancer therapies Our multidisciplinary team is
responsible for a large variety of different projects within TRON and with external collaborators.
Methodologically, we primarily focus on flow cytometry analysis of cancer and immune cells within the tumor
microenvironment with additional extensive in vitro analysis such as examinations of the cell cytotoxicity and
metabolic activity.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
Designing and testing of flow cytometry antibody panels for phenotyping immune cells
Planning, conducting and analyzing immunological in vitro assays based on multicolor flow cytometry and
co-culture cytotoxicity assays
Planning, conducting and analyze pre-clincal experiments in the field of cancer immunotherapy (u.a.
ELIspot, T cell killing assays)
Establishment and standardization of new methods
Writing standard operating procedures (DE & EN), preparation of experimental reports
Pro-active contribution to tasks in the field of general laboratory organization
What you bring:
A completed master degree in life sciences or several years of experience as technical assistant in the field
of cell biology (or equivalent)
Experience in performing in vitro assays based on multicolor flow cytometry techniques of co-culture cells
or primary tissues are requested, and in vitro immunological methods (e.g. ELISA, ELISpot etc.) are favorable
Any practical experience in conducting in vitro experiments using cell culture and primary cells isolated
from organs
Strong verbal and written communication skills in both German and English language
Well-structured and organized working methods and an excellent time management
Enthusiasm and curiosity for the diverse activities of our research institute as well as the ability to work in a
