Start date: March/April 2024
Duration: 6 months
Period: Fulltime (40 hours a week)
The Process and Systems team in Supply Chain is responsible for developing processes and systems to support reliable and efficient flow of all direct materials to Tesla’s factories, distribution centers, service locations and other relevant sites. As a TPM Intern, you will deliver process improvements, systems capabilities, and data insights that are critical in order to support increasing production volume and fleet size.
You will work with planning, logistics, warehousing and stakeholders in other organizations to identify key process and systems improvements required for end to end scalability and efficiency. You will be a thought leader in developingsolutions as well as managing the project execution. To be a successful candidate for this role you have to be a selfmotivated, driven individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
- Work on multiple projects involving process and system changes in the supply chain involving needs analysis, requirements definition, testing, and deployment/rollout
- Align cross-functionally with other teams interacting with respective applications
- Analyze business data from multiple supply chain applications (SQL/MySQL/MongoDB) to understand process trends, identify improvements and drive compliance with multiple teams or groups
- Collaborate with business users, UX design, and engineering to design and develop UI + supporting tools
- Create and manage content pertaining to user guides, training material, and application changes
- Partner with other team members to develop an implementation strategy and rollout changes across different geographies
What You’ll Bring
- Currently studying a relevant field like Data Science, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Manufacturing/Process Engineering
- Ability to successfully work with a cross range of teams including purchasing, support engineering, sales and operations
- Previous internship experience with Data related topics is highly advantageous
- Working experience in UI and UX and Program management is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft tools (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, MS Teams), JIRA, Confluence or similar tools/technologies
- Knowledge of SQL , mySQL, MongoDB, Python and ETL
- Capable of working in a fast paced and always changing environment
- The ability to keep an overview and improve processes
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving oriented
- A strong team player
