$108,400.00-$149,100.00 Annual
This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.

As a Johns Manville (JM) National Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for managing the business development, selling effort and account management activities for key clients in support of our internal sales organization and certified contractor partners. You will be responsible for developing a deep understanding of the existing client base, trade specific contracting and bidding procedures, complex stakeholder relationships, and go to market tactics designed to increase business with both new and existing Preferred Account clients. In this highly visible role, you will collaborate closely with the JM sales, product management, marketing, account management and technical teams to develop value propositions tailored to your key Preferred Account client needs.
JM National Accounts Managers work in a team environment, operate remotely from a home office and must be close to a major airport.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work every day to establish JM as an industry leader and trusted partner for our clients
- Develop plans to identify, cultivate and convert appropriate prospect accounts into new, long-term JM Preferred Account clients
- Establish multi-level relationships with the key decision makers within existing accounts and develop strategies to increase JM's share with these clients
- Support the winning efforts of the JM sales team and certified contractor partners by driving JM position and preference
- Act as single point of contact and provide enhanced services that match the client's value chain while delivering superior customer satisfaction
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors and/or advanced degree
- 5 - 7 years of roofing/construction industry experience, including technical knowledge of building envelope products/systems, the commercial construction process and complex stakeholder relationships
- Ability to analyze and evaluate product lines & systems, competitor offerings and positioning
- Skilled in negotiation, problem resolution and candid direct communication
- 3 - 5 years of experience in business development and/or national account level sales within the roofing/construction, commercial real estate or industrial sales industries
- Ability to identify and navigate complex selling situations; then formulate strategies to overcome them
- Ability to climb stairs & ladders, occasionally access a rooftop, lift 50lbs, exposure to hot/cold, and extensive walking.
- Ability to travel up to 50%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous, relevant experience with national/regional commercial building owners, roofing consultants and specifiers
- Experienced in new business development and advanced sales techniques including strategic and multi-influencer, selling environments
- Expert verbal and written communications skills
- Expert knowledge of commercial roofing competitor product lines and price levels
