Your Role

The service business is a core growth area for ZEISS Microscopy. As Service Product Manager for Light Microscopy, you are responsible for shaping the portfolio of service contracts, upgrades, and new services within the ZEISS light microscopy offerings. You will work in cross-functional teams, in close interaction with R&D, production, business sectors, marketing, and sales to drive the product roadmap, go-to-market plan, and lifecycle of the offerings. Your Key Responsibilities are:

Conduct market research to identify potential new service offerings for light microscopy
Develop the light microscopy aftersales innovation roadmap for various offerings ranging from service contracts to upgrades and services like trainings or calibration
Design new innovative Service contracts to ensure profitable technical service business, e.g., consider packaging options with other offerings, pricing models with predictive service offerings, contract versions customized for different target groups etc.
Work with other teams like R&D, technical service, or the training department to develop the respective offerings in time and within budget
Drive product adoption and usage together with the marketing and business development team and the global sales and service teams
Manage the entire product lifecycle based on product performance and customer feedback, i.e. initiate product or business model changes, and decide on retiring offerings where necessary
Support the development process for new light microscopes with defining serviceability requirements

Your Profile

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field such as biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, or similar
Experience in developing or managing service contract offerings or product management for high-tech offerings in a B2B environment
Experience in the microscopy industry or as a user with microscopes is considered as an advantage
Experience working with cross-functional teams
Self-driven person taking ownership for projects and initiatives with excellent written and verbal communication skills in german and english
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Track record of using agile methods in marketing, sales or IT projects is a plus
