We are seeking an experienced Travel Specialist looking for their next big challenge! This individual will be responsible for planning itineraries and scheduling travel accommodations for employees using knowledge of routes, carriers, and travel regulations. This individual will verify travel to ensure costs, availability, and convenience of different types of carriers to select the best routes and options.
Responsibilities also include notification of personnel of travel dates, baggage, limits, and medical and visa requirements, and helping ensure that all clearances have been obtained. This individual will also assist leadership in completing travel forms and other business transactions pertaining to travel and may arrange for transportation for arriving or departing personnel. This individual will oversee all company travel, ensuring that only critical trips are booked with the correct approvals and in the most cost-efficient method without the need for agency bookings.
All major modes of transportation are used, as most individual trips involve combinations of more than one mode. Travel is varied, often not recurrent and may periodically require out of the box thinking. At Fisker we pride ourselves on our speed and flexibility. Routings are diverse and there is sometimes a necessity for rerouting, re-planning, or rearranging. Key Responsibilities

Understanding travel requirements and making appropriate travel recommendations.

Providing clear communication to all customers on the travel process while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Researching to find the most cost-effective solutions without external agency.

Ensure only essential travel is booked.

Booking domestic and international travel arrangements as needed.

Maintaining virtual document filing systems.

Providing excellent customer service and follow-up.

Maintain lists and follow-up on all actions, be highly organized, pay close attention to detail, have excellent proofreading skills with a mastery of English grammar, and be able to handle multi-tasking well.

Possess sound judgment and excellent interpersonal skills.
Qualifications

This position involves heavy customer (employee) interaction and therefore requires superior customer service.

At least 5 years of experience as a Travel Coordinator or similar role desired.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience desired.

Strong knowledge of travel systems and routes.

Proven experience planning and booking international travel.

Strong computer skills; Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Positive, outgoing demeanor and the ability to work well under high ops tempo.

Attention to detail.

Ability to Multi-task.

Reliable internet.

Ability to make international phone calls (airlines, hotels, car rental agencies) is a must.
