- Ongoing monitoring of eCommerce markets (e.g., Fashion, Consumer Electronics, Food & Beverages) regarding trends, dynamics, and changes, as well as deriving the impact on the market and relevant companies
- Quantitative modeling and forecasting of global eCommerce related market developments
- Independent development of analyses and reports that create a deep market understanding
- Structured, appealing, and high-quality preparation of research and analysis results in Power Point and Excel
- Independent further development of the product offering in the respective markets
- Idea generation, solution development and communication with customers/partners
- Data interpretation, derive quantitative implications of qualitative observations for the markets you are responsible for (e.g., impacts of high interest rates on various markets)
- Storytelling, creation of clean, thorough, visually appealing PowerPoints that transport the story in your data and include clear and to-the-point messages
- Macroeconomic knowledge: You are familiar with the basic macroeconomic indicators, such as GDP, inflation, and exchange rates, have good general knowledge about economic interrelationships of countries and are interested and up to date about the current main economic and political developments in the world
- Maths/ Statistics: You can conduct basic mathematical calculations and are familiar with statistical methods with support of existing Excel / Python tools (e.g., calculate a CAGR, percentages with all intricacies, regression using VBA or Python)
- Logic: You can build logical calculation models to estimate a variety of market related KPIs such as revenue, revenue growth, prices, volumes, etc.
- Coding: You can already code in, or show interest in learning Python to build partially automated data flows from data collection, over data cleaning and manipulation incl. quality control, towards a clearly defined and customer relevant output (e.g., automate data collection from public sources, fill gaps with a provided algorithm, manual and market-knowledge driven quality control, KPI-box published on statista.com)
- English: You understand and communicate fluently in English, also when it’s about complex content in connection to statistics, coding, and markets
- Team: You enjoy integrating and cooperating with a team of young and motivated peers, show initiative and ownership regarding your topics, and want to have fun while working – and contribute to an open, well-communicating, well-being-interested yet output driven work environment
