As a Junior Accounting Specialist, you will assist and support Apiax’ Finance team across different regions with accounting and controlling tasks. An outstanding Junior Accounting Specialist should be detailed-oriented and able to demonstrate excellent analytical skills.

Tasks

What you will be tasked to do:

Manage the monthly accounting records in accordance with the accounting principles;
Assist with the preparation of annual audits;
Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures;
Maintain accurate records, including ledgers, journals receipts and invoices;
Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner;
Maintain the chart of accounts;
Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions;
Comply with local government reporting requirements and tax filings;
Collaboration with third-party service providers.

Requirements

What is required from you:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Management or related field (in progress or completed);
Very good time and self-management;
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in entering financial data;
A responsible and structured way of working as well as assertiveness, reliability and discretion;
Excellent analytical and organizational skills;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a good command of written and spoken English;
Portuguese/EU Passport
