The DNV Acoustics team is a well-known and preferred business partner for acoustic services for many manufacturers as well as operators of wind turbines. Our expertise is sought after and recognised by authorities and standardisation bodies.
The project work and traveling are organized in small and changing teams. Due to weather dependency, student - intern has to be flexible and likes to be out of the office and in the field. The field work is mainly carried out in northern Germany, but also in other parts of Germany and European countries. 20/30% of work is carried out in the field and 80/70% in Keiser-Wilhelm-Koog DNV office. We are looking for 2 interns at the moment.
Your main activities during the internship will be:
- Supporting our engineers during acoustic measurements at wind turbines or near houses
- In case of office work the intern is supporting the engineers with their daily activities, i. e. maintence of the measurement devices, data analysis and statistics
- Calibration and verification of measurement equipment
- Developing of smaller programs or data bases for project management or data analysis
Position Qualifications:
To be successful in this internship you need to:
- Be graduate/student of physics, mechanical engineering, geophysics, acoustics or similiar studies
- Have an active driver's license "B" - mandatory
- Speak fluently English (German language skill is a big plus)
- Be able to travel - also in a short notice
- Have practical skills (electrical or mechanical) as they are helpful for measurement field work
- Have good knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Be able to work independently and conscientiously; flexible, innovative and customer centric attitude.
