BMC Software is looking for a Data Analytics Scientist for our Service and Operations management Organization. As a Data Scientist with a minimum of 3 years of experience, you will play a vital role in analyzing data, developing models, and driving data-driven insights that contribute to our success.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a talented Data Scientist with a minimum of 3 years of practical experience in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze complex datasets, extract valuable insights, and develop predictive models that enhance our products and solutions.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with teams to define project objectives, data requirements, and success criteria.
Clean, preprocess, and analyze diverse datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
Apply machine learning algorithms to develop predictive models that support decision-making.
Create data visualizations and reports to communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Participate in discussions to brainstorm creative solutions and contribute to the team's knowledge sharing.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data science and analytics.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of data-related processes and methodologies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
Extensive experience with data manipulation libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy) and machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, model evaluation, and feature engineering.
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Plotly) to present insights effectively.
Familiarity with SQL and database systems for data querying and manipulation.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle complex data challenges.
Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to various audiences.
Previous experience in Service or Operations management is advantageous.
Knowledge of cloud platforms and distributed computing is a plus
