Job Purpose
- Lead the brand team togther with the medical co-lead
- Assume marketing responsibility for specified product/products, with the objective of maximizing sales and profit potential for each product
- Propose and initiate improvements to meet changing market needs
- Identify, in conjunction with the other members of the Marketing team, new business opportunities within the German Pharmaceutical market
- Be the champion for all products under your control
- Ensure the maintenance of adherence to the Codex of Practice in relation to this role
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing and implementing the marketing strategy for products within the job holder’s responsibilities
- Produce and monitor the implementation of strategic marketing plans, ensuring that stated objectives are met on schedule and within approved budgets
- Develop annual and five-year forecasts for each individual product
- Develop launch plans for new indications, line extensions and formulations
- Gather continuous intelligence on each product’s performance, competitors, and customer attitudes, proposing appropriate actions as the market environment for a product change
- In conjunction with Sales & Marketing, Medical Research, Supply Chain, Medical, Medical Information and Legal departments, identify, initiate, and monitor projects concerning products and disease areas
- Developing promotional materials from copy writing to production, present the material and its use at Sales & Marketing meetings, and continuously appraise the material’s effectiveness and adherence to the Codex of Practice
- Provide specific marketing information on therapeutic areas/products as required for training courses, Sales & Marketing meetings, and agency briefs
- Develop and maintain contact with salespeople and key customers through regular field contact, especially focusing on relationships with key opinion leaders and the Field Management Team
- To be fully conversant with all sales databases and market research tools available
- To supply the appropriate service providers with sales data in a timely and complete fashion
- To proactively maintain and update market knowledge with regard to both competitors and the German health system
- Maintain full accountability for the correct and effective management of all budgets associated with your product/products
- Assist in the successful planning and running of both German and International symposia
- Manage the co-promotion or co-marketing of products where appropriate
- Lead the selection and management and training of agencies
- Be conversant with all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) relevant to the marketing role
- Be conversant with and maintain strong working knowledge of the internal certification tools and systems required to fulfil the requirements of the SOPs and the Codex of Practice
- Responsible for the department and support in general day-to-day business and working on cross-divisional projects.

Maintain Compliance
- Abide by the requirements of the Codex Code of Practice including but not restricted to maintaining high professional standards of conduct, in line with the company procedures with a duty of care to the reputation of the company and the industry as a whole.
- Adherence of Compliance Guidelines as well as AKG e. V. (Pharma Code Association Drugs and Cooperation) Pharma Code without exception
- Immediate reporting of any suspected or noticed infringement of Compliance Regulations to management or Compliance Officer
Qualifications:
- A degree in life sciences or marketing (or equivalent)
- Codes of Practice trained and certified
- Ideally you should be able to demonstrate exceptional sales success across a portfolio of products in both primary and secondary care
- Must have experience within the Rare Disease market - Oncology a preference, but other rare disease experience valuable
