Your location

The largest production site for civil aircraft can be found in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe means that you will travel to work by ship. The vibrant port of Hamburg is a green and cosmopolitan city brimming with culture.

Your tasks and responsibilities

Group-wide / Commodity Overall management of working groups and projects
Definition and implementation of category-specific purchasing strategies
Development of sourcing models, local vs global, make-or-buy decisions in interdisciplinary teams
Contract management for contracts with particular complexity (e.g., complex contract change management, cross-departmental contracts)
Regular review and co-design of processes and training in strategic purchasing
Management of procurement projects, tenders, negotiations of changes
Initiation of strategic supplier developments
Creation and implementation of sourcing plans including control of internal coordination processes
Support of suppliers as a central point of contact for commercial and contractual issues
Contact with internal and external customers

Desired skills and qualifications

Degree in business administration (preferably with a focus on logistics or purchasing), law or aerospace engineering and have several years of professional experience in the purchasing or logistics environment.
Experience specifically in the areas of supplier management, negotiations and tendering is desirable.
Should have outstanding analytical skills, be long-term and strategically oriented and be able to act entrepreneurially.
Should also have excellent negotiation and communication skills and be able to structure your everyday work efficiently and prioritize tasks.
Fluent English is a basic requirement for this position; good knowledge of German would be an advantage.
