Your tasks & responsibilities:
- Develop a new generation of automated tire inspection systems, focusing on the development of new optical sensors and on the constant improvement our current optical sensor technology, with the team
- Analyze, review, maintain, and improve current algorithms and concepts
- Develop and validate new powerful algorithms for tread depth measurement and for the automatic calibration of our optical sensors
- Drive development based on data from real-world conditions, document the concepts and results and provide clear insights on next steps
- Work closely with the hardware and manufacturing team
Your profile:
- Master, PhD or equivalent in Physics/ Computer Science/ Electronics Engineering or equivalent, with experience in image processing
- Excellent skills in image processing and optical systems with deep knowledge in triangulation systems
- Excellent coding skills in C/C++
- Confident use of standard libraries like OpenCV, STL, boost, etc.
- Experience with revision control systems such as GIT, SVN, etc.
- Sound understanding of applied mathematics and statistics
- Experience with camera/ lasers calibration is a plus
- Self-motivated, independent, and dedicate
- Personality that thrives in a highly x-functional environment and has a strong willingness to learn
- Good knowledge of MS Office suite
- Strong communication and presentation skills in German and English #LI-SW2
