SCN Europe Programmes Manager in Berlin bei Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD)

The post holder will have extensive knowledge of key security and governance challenges affecting communities in Europe, with a specific focus on extremism, hate and polarisation. They will also have exceptional written and spoken communication skills, native or professional working proficiency in English and at least one other European language. Competency in French and/or German is desirable.

Key responsibilities include:

• Identifying, developing, and delivering regional programming that responds to the needs of cities
• Facilitating city peer-learning through the identification and exchange of good practices regionally and globally.
• Strengthening and maintaining effective long-term relationships with member and other relevant cities and local authorities.
• Feeding into management, operational, communication, and monitoring & evaluation processes.

Candidates must have the following skills and experience:

• Relevant experience in, or Bachelor’s degree in international relations, human rights, political science, security, law, diplomacy, public policy, or relevant experience.
• Essential knowledge of key security and governance challenges affecting communities, with a specific focus on extremism, hate and polarisation.
• Previous experience in project or programme delivery with a proven ability to meet deadlines and contribute to team project work.
• Ability to speak independently and confidently with city officials and external partners.
• Native or professional working proficiency in English and at least 1 other European language.
