Field Service Engineer role:

Who we are looking for:

• Qualification at engineer or technician level from disciplines including Mechanical / Mechatronic / Electrical / Electronic Engineering /Science / Aircraft Systems or a Trade Apprentice ship

• Someone who has practical hands on work exposure (M echanical, Electrical, Electronic) , for example in a production environment

• Previous experience or knowledge with Applied Materials CVD/CMP/EPI or other semiconductor tools would be an advantage but not essential .

• Trouble-shooting skills to solve mechanical and electrical issues

• Some one who is flexible to travel for business or training purposes, for varying time durations.

The German subsidiary of Applied Materials is part of the Applied Global Services Business Unit and is the service part of the semiconductor business based in Dresden, Germany , supporting local installations of Applied equipment with maintenance and advanced support services.

We are currently looking for several Field Service Engineers to join our team.

What you can expect from our Field Service Engineer role:

• You will be involved in the on-site installation, qualification and repair of sophisticated electro-mechanical and electronic wafer fabrication production equipment ;

• You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance as required ; work on your own and as part of a team

• You will proactively take ownership of technical issues;

• You will take r esponsibility for maintaining a safe working environment .

• The position requires shift work, and may include some night shift .
