We are looking for you to join our team as our new
Working Student (f/m/d) Human Language Technology
- starting date December 2023-
As a working student at eBay, you will approach some of the most interesting AI problems eBay is facing in the area of machine learning and text understanding. You will collaborate with a team of researchers and software engineers demonstrating the state-of-the-art technologies to tackle the most complex problems. You will drive the query understanding technical vision by incorporating and developing software engineering processes and standards to enhance eBay’s buying experience. Create robust data pipelines and real-time monitoring and optimization algorithms with us.
Pursuing a Master of Science degree in computer science or related fields with a preferred specialisation in machine learning or NLP
Experience with designing and training machine learning models
Proven ability to work independently and make good decisions with minimal direction
Strong communication skills (fluent English, both verbal and written)
Experience working with complex and large text and web data
Experiences working with deep learning tools, like PyTorch or TensorFlow
Programming skills (Python, C++/Java, Perl, bash command-line tools)
A comfortable working environment in a small, well-equipped office in the center of Aachen
Dynamic team, passion for languages and technology, professionalism and a good sense of humor
