Software Requirements and Verification Engineer in Weiterstadt bei Wingcopter

• Contribute to a modular and extendable software testing and verification strategy including needed equipment and test environment
• Support in incorporating the software development life cycle (SDLC) into daily development
• Develop and verify software level requirements for a UAV software stack
• Analyze product requirements and define test conditions, methods and tooling
• Create and modify software test specifications based on requirements
• Close collaboration with other departments as system engineering and certification
• Ensure documentation of testing equipment, procedure and test results
• This position requires on-prem work and thus cannot be fully remote.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant area as for example computer science, cybernetics, electronic / software engineering
• Experience in requirements engineering for mechatronic systems
• Expertise with requirements tooling like DOORS, DOORS Next Generation and Enterprise Architect
• Experience in software development methods (Software Development Life Cycle, Software Architecture and Agile Methods)
• Basic programming and code review skills in C/C++ and script languages (preferred python)
• Experience with testing and validation methods as for example black box and white box testing, boundary value analysis
• Knowledge about version control and change management tooling
• Experience in handling standard tools for software development (GIT, CI, etc.) is a plus
