This position contributes directly to ensuring the integrity and credibility of the FSC system.
The Officer supports the Case Management Program of the System Integrity Unit in disputes case management, as well as in screening applicants to the FSC system, with activities such as monitoring and processing of cases, stakeholder engagement, research, communication, development of guidance materials, and administrative tasks.
- To screen incoming applications for FSC certification and membership via the FSC Check platform.
- To support developments of the FSC Check platform in collaboration with other teams at FSC.
- To provide project management support for the resolution of disputes related to the FSC Policy for Association.
- To support, administer and keep records of complaint cases brought to the attention of FSC International.
- To support revision processes of normative documents such as of the complaints and appeals procedure revision.
- To keep content related to FSC dispute case management up to date on the FSC website and other communication channels in collaboration with the communications team.
- To handle information requests by stakeholders about FSC dispute case management and complaints.
- To support the development of procedures, tools, and planning materials for case management, such as the development of a case management tool.
- To build and maintain good relations with internal and external parties involved in the program´s case management activities, including other System Integrity teams, other units at FSC International, FSC regional and national teams, Assurance Services International, or certification bodies.
- Any other task as assigned by formal supervisor and project work as assigned according to special organizational needs.
Working Education and Training:
University degree (Bachelor or Master) in a relevant field such as environmental management, international relations, social sciences, law, business administration.
Working Experience, Style, and Skills:
- At least 2 years of professional experience in work related to the roles and responsibilities of this position (e.g., conflict management, natural resource management, CSR, operations development) in an international setting.
- Affinity and experience in working with tech solutions such as CRM systems is required.
- Experience with stakeholder engagement is an asset.
- Project management experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to perform well while handling simultaneously several work streams or projects.
- Solution and service-oriented attitude to work.
- A strong sense of diligence and accuracy.
Languages: - Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
- French and/or Spanish are a plus.
Computer Skills – good skills in the use of/experience with: - Standard software packages (MS Office).
- CRM (Customer Relations Management systems), such as salesforce, is a plus.
- Database management platform is a plus.
- Geographic Information Systems is a plus.
Communication Skills: - Strong verbal and written communication that contribute to cohesive team efforts.
- Active-listening skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive interpersonal relations.
Others: - Experience in working in a multi-cultural, multi-lingual, global team.
- Experience in working in / with an NGO or Non-Profit Organizations is a plus.
