BV Solutions Marine & Offshore is operating in the naval, offshore and MRE industry on an international scale. Our company provides engineering services, inspection and audit services, site monitoring, and project support. Our customers are shipowners and shipyards, oil companies and offshore engineering companies.
What will you do?
In your work as a Environmental Engineer for North & Central Europe, you will be working at the intersection of shipping and the environment. How does this translate to your daily work? Very specifically. Your work focuses on the calculation of CO2 emissions, and the participation in risk assessments for alternative fuels/ technologies.
The CO2 calculation involves processing reports on the hours sailed, distances covered, fuels consumed and the corresponding CO2 emissions. You will verify these reports using various pieces of evidence, such as documents about fuel bunkering and documents about cargo activities. Based on this data you determine whether the reports are correct.
In the field of new alternative fuels and technologies, risk assessment is playing an increasingly important role.
For the above activities, as Environmental Engineer you are also a point of contact for our customers. You give advice and answer questions and fulfill the role of expert from Bureau Veritas Solutions. In addition, you are involved in various projects in the field of sustainability of shipping.
