Head of Quality in Wetzlar bei HENSOLDT

HENSOLDT Optronics GmbH For the Area "Quality Sights" we are looking for a "Head of Quality (f/m/d)" at the Wetzlar site as soon as possible.

As "Head of Quality" Management in Wetzlar, you will lead a team of five employees. At our facility, we develop and manufacture optical and optronic equipment and systems for military use by the German Armed Forces and allied nations. In addition to legal requirements, company-specific quality standards must also be observed. With the functions of project, production and supplier quality control, you will make a significant contribution to the business success of the facility and will also be part of the management level of the site and the business unit. You are the contact person for the quality control department.

• Ensuring the quality parts in the project management and contact person for the customer regarding quality topics, for example creation of QM plans or processing of customer evaluations
• Implementation of quality methods in the product development process (creation of D/P FMEA and test sequence plans, execution of Q-gates (CDR, PDR, PRR))
• Execution of operational supplier quality management tasks including defect and root cause management as well as negotiation of quality assurance agreements with suppliers
• Qualification and approval of suppliers and products
• Ensuring qualification of product manufacturing equipment and measuring equipment
• Verification of manufacturing equipment capability at series start-up and in series production
• Implementation and application of visual management and defect management methods
• Implementation of risk management according to the specifications of the Optronics Risk Manager and process management at the site according to the specifications of the HMS Manager
• Definition and reporting of KPIs related to supply chain, project status and product quality
• Supporting the implementation of the "Quality Next Level" initiative

• Completed studies in the field of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, production engineering or comparable
• Training as Six Sigma Green/Black Belt as well as problem solving facilitator (Practical Problem Solving, 8D, A3) advantageous
• Many years of experience in the areas of quality management and supplier management
• Experience in leading a team
• Sound knowledge of auditing procedures
• Knowledge of SAP
• Confident application of quality methods and visual management
• Customer as well as result and solution oriented approach and very good communication skills
• Structured, analytical and proactive approach as well as a high degree of initiative and commitment
• Business fluent German and English skills
